CPS Score

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

Short version. The click test runs entirely inside your browser. Your scores are never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never seen by us. The only thing saved is a personal best and a short run history, kept in your own browser's local storage on your own device. This site does not show ads today; third-party advertising will be added later, and this page will be updated to name the provider when that happens.

1. What the test does with your data

When you run a CPS test on this site, the page counts the click events your browser receives and does the arithmetic in the page itself. The numbers you see — CPS, total clicks, peak CPS, average CPS, consistency and the graph — are all calculated on your device by JavaScript that is already loaded.

No test result is uploaded anywhere. There is no backend that receives scores, no database of results, and no API call made when a test finishes. The page has no analytics script and no tracking pixels.

2. What is stored, and where

The site keeps exactly two things, and it keeps them in your browser's localStorage — a storage area on your own device that this site can read and write, and that no other site can read:

  • cpstest.best.v1 — your personal best CPS, per click mode and per test length.
  • cpstest.hist.v1 — your last 20 runs (date and time, mode, test length, CPS, total clicks, peak CPS).

Both are plain text, both live only on your device, and both are removed by the Clear local data button on the test page. You can also remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Because we never receive this data, there is nothing on our side to delete on your behalf.

3. Cookies

This site does not set any cookies of its own, and does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. Your browser may still store the two local storage entries described above — those are not cookies and are not sent to any server.

4. Advertising (not live yet)

This site does not display advertising at the moment. Third-party advertising will be added to this site later to cover the cost of running it.

When third-party ads go live:

  • The ad provider (for example, Google AdSense) may set cookies or use similar technologies, and may use your IP address, device type and approximate location to serve and measure ads.
  • Ad providers may serve personalised ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, subject to their own privacy policies and your own settings with them.
  • This page will be updated to name the provider, and the change will be reflected in the date at the top of this policy.

Nothing about your click test results is shared with any ad provider — those numbers never leave your browser in the first place.

5. Hosting and server logs

This site is served as static files over Cloudflare's network. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes each request in order to return the page to you — which necessarily involves your IP address and the headers your browser sends — and may retain operational or security logs under its own privacy policy. We do not add any visitor analytics on top of that, and we do not build a profile of individual visitors.

6. What we do not collect

  • No name, no email address, no account, no password.
  • No scores or test results.
  • No advertising identifiers (while there are no ads).
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind.

7. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and no personal information is knowingly collected from anyone. Since the site collects no personal information at all, there is nothing of that kind to remove.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, when advertising is added — the new version will be posted on this page and the date at the top will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

9. Questions

Privacy questions can be sent to the address on the contact page.
